For example, if you sell pet products, you may want to put a banner or something of the sort on your front page that says "We cater to your furry friends. Check out our shop for food, treats, and pet accessories." If someone lands on your home screen, they will know exactly what they are getting if they stick around.

Organization

The next thing you should think about when you are working on your site design is whether or not your page is organized.

It's important that folks can navigate around your website without being confused or overwhelmed. You should use clear colors and labels so navigating is simple and fluid.

One way you can organize your website is by making a "flow" list. For example, you could put all of your main links on the front page, and put what pages go under each subheading. Once you have a comprehensive, organized flowchart, you can apply it to your website.

Problem Solve with Your Brand

Your site design needs to put your brand on on display . What makes YOU different from everyone else doing what you do? Make sure you are willing to establish your brand for customers.

When a potential customer visits your website they want to see something catchy, attractive, and that most importantly -- solves their problem. Explain how your brand is different, and how it is going to resolve the customer's issue.

Back to the pet store example: you may want to list on your front page that your brand makes pet supply shopping from home quick and easy. You are explaining that your company is better than others because you offer a unique solution to a problem that many people face.
